Help.....Awful gear change and noisy clutch .

I've had my clutch in for the last 3 years and it seems that the release bearing is wearing already. Gear selection is also getting worse and there is a wurring sound when depressing the pedal. When standing still in gear its trying to move especially if it's in second gear. Despite already being adjusted a couple of times. Rusty thinks maybe one of the release bearing clips might have come off. Also when driving gear selection starts off tight but the more I drive the worst it gets until first and second gear are almost impossible.
I'm dropping the engine over the weekend to see what's going on but could there be anything else as well I need to look out for? :?
