HELP NEEDED URGENTLY!!!!

Hoping someone can help us out!!

I am in desperate need of an early bay window LHD steering box, am trying to get the bus ready for an mot hopefully next week and have found out that the steering box is knackered
If anyone has any ideas or knows of one please contact me direct on 07875344303.
I have contacted all the usual vw breakers etc but no one can help!!!
We are already missing out on plymfest at this rate will be missing bristol as well
So any help would be greatly appriciated.

Volksheaven usually have a few kicking about megabug refurbish them so may have a spare knocking about.

Hi araon thanks for the reply, i tried volkshaven and they have nothing.
i have just phoned megabug (forgot about them!) and they can get it refurbished for £262 and i can get it back end of next week, is this a good price? as this is something i've never had to have done before. :|

The only problem is that if a component is too damaged/broken to recon they won't be able to do it unless you supply them with the part, which leaves you back at square one. Having said that, the internal components of LHD and RHD are the same, so you could buy a RHD one (more common) and use it as a doner.
If you are nowhere near Coventry you might want to crack open the yellow pages and find a similiar place near you.

There based in Greenwich london ...... and it was £160 + vat all inc.... 7 day turnaround but that could be negotiated....

We have a couple of these in left and right hand drive knocking around.

LHD - £135 plus £15 postage. In good used but usable condition.

My mistake- the Coventry firm are Coventry power steering specialists Ltd. If you google them you'll get contact details. Think a few people on here have used them.
