The original connector was a brass/alloy connector that was riveted to the inside of the column. Mine was still there but the spade end was snapped off, i spent a while trying to fabricate a replacement but couldnt get it to sit right so i ended up using self tapper to connect it to the outside of the column in the same place. much easier, for me anyway.

Had this topic bookmarked for a long time as when I replaced the indicator stalk (repo unit) and fitted a new horn cable at the same time my horn has never worked, constantly on I pulled a connector off the horn and forgot about it.
Basically if I remove the indicator stalk body off the column it works so I've wrapped insulation around the column and refitted the indicator stalk body and it works.

Question is, have I done anything detrimental or is a fix a fix ?
