Women's tights in the winter then thermals ontop works a treat and cheap, suspenders don't work

Womens tight is a fact. I know loads of lads who take them away on exercise.. As has been mentioned, some layer between your feet and the concrete makes a difference, so if thats a wood board etc..

A hat is a must, thats where you lose the most heat from your body. You don't need expensive thermals, but if you are going to buy good kit I would say down jackets are pretty awesome.

The other thing not been mentioned is brews, Keeping your core warm is one of the main ways to maximise your time in the cold.. And remember to strip down when inside..

I have been brought up in a house where the heating is only turned on when the cats whiskers are frozen  and since I started work at 14 it's always been had a large element of outdoor work involved. As said plenty of layers, gloves and hat.

Plenty of tea too ;)
