How far above the window should the curtain track go?

My last question of the evening......Tomorrow I plan to fit my curtain track. I read the instructions and it said make sure it is double skin! Can someone tell me how far above the window to drill please to be sure I put it in the right place. My van is a 1970 bay.

Hi Kerri, I was also nervous when doing this. There's actually a lip above the window that you drill into, I'll grab a few pics for you this morning so you can see where I've drilled
