Well I have a Ca code box in mine at the min its married to my Subaru 2.5 wich is becides the point I only say because the problem im having is I can pull away in 2nd up a mountain.
From what ive been told is the Ca box will do 70 mph @4000rpm im getting 50 mph @4000 rpm, and I have a digital calabrated Speedo.

What im after is info on wich code gear box has the best output preferably a 4 speed because I have a full recon Ca box already and was hopeing to change the crown wheel an pinion.

If this fails I supose ill try get and fit a cp box off a 2.0 late bay ive heard it'll do 70 @3600 rev.......is this a 4 speed box tho..........

Also I was running 195 50 15 on the rear and temporally changed them for 195 70 15 to match the orriginal size but theese look extreamly crap and I still only get 63mph @4000 rpm

The reason y im tryin so hard to achieve top end is to Cruse on a motor way

cheers for any input ash

fit a 2L box ,4speed and goes in if you change front mounting over ,2 bolts 8) ,you may need to shorten the input shaft or has your scooby conversion got a modified shaft ?if so swop it.

an 091 late bay box, taken to Cogbox or Bears and get them to fit and even longer 4th gear and run the tallest rear tyres you can,

I run 205/70/15's and have an 091 with an extra tall 4th and sit at 3300 rpm @ a GPS 70mph.

Does this mean I could even lenghen 4th in my box now I wouldnt mind a big step between 3 an 4 as I have way too much power an can pull from low speeds to top speed up the bigest of hills in 4th

Pete is Northolt NW London, yes he could rebuild your box with taller gears very easily but the 091 is the strongest box to start with.

Yes the CP Code but the easiest way to identify them is they are 6 ribbed boxes,

if you can find a CT box they from factory are an 091 with a LSD in them
