When I put the bus away in November I knew I had a problem with indicators staying on. This is sometimes solved by pulling the hazards on but this time the hazards stay on too no matter what.

So today I pulled the kick panel off and the heater ducts out to see if I could see a loose connection, I could not for the life of me see any relay located up behind the cluster or anywhere near for that matter.

Where should it be please? Once I find it I can start tracing wires back and hopefully solve it.

Thanks in advance

Matt

Thanks Elliott and Wig,

I have had a look since and can hear it click when I turn on the indicators but just can't place it. I am getting close then!

+1 for plugged into bottom of the fuse box next to the high beam relay - unless that's my hazard relay hmmm

EDIT: Just to advise my issues with indicators was caused by the relay filling with water, a leak in the windscreen (rubber or corrosion) in the corner causes water to drip into fuse box and collect in the bottom of the relays

Yep, plugged into the fuse box on mine too.

As an aside I had the same problem on my bus but it was the hazard switch on the dash that was at fault rather than the relay.

So, I can hear this little sucker clicking once, ie when I operate the indicator or pull on the hazard switch but it wont flash like it should.

I have looked for a straight replacement but it would appear to be more complicated than that as it is no longer made. Instead I think I have to buy a cylindrical one and convert my wiring to match it -- anyone else had the same scenario??

I've had a great day of getting nothing accomplished!! I have also been trying to fit a three point belt in the back for my boy but dropped the bracket down the side of the Westy seat, so the seat will now have to come out so I can find it - been pulling my hair out.....
