Indicator stalk

I have a 72 crosser US import which came minus the indicator stalk. Question is, what one do I need to source as I'm led to believe there are a couple of different ones :?

I may well get shot down here but I believe you need one with a black round stalk (not folded Chrome) and as its a U.S. Spec it needs to have 7 wires.

Got a feeling Ron on here might have a NOS one FS

My wiring is in bits so I don't know what's what TBH.

It might be worth trying a guy called 'speedyjim' on the VZI site.

He's an absolute wizz on electrical issues and is very helpful.

If you post the problem in the aircooled technical section he usually answers it fairly quickly, so you don't need to contact him directly.

Replaced mine on my 69 US bus with one from karmann connection a few years back. Think it was around £100. The original one and the replacement both had the chrome stalk.

Also think the person who mentioned the black stalk is correct - I did have another one with the black stalk but was told it was for buses after 70/71. - it also had too many wires. So I guess for your crossover you need the one with the black stalk.
