The indicator switch on my 68 has become very stiff,it'll go into the left position but I have pretty much smack it into the right possition.

I've had it appart and it looks like the parts inside are getting stuck
Is there a way to free these up,as I'm assuming wd40 would've be advisable with there being electrical wires in there.

Pull it apart and I would have thought that some Graphite grease would do?
Not 100% but I am sure some one will be along and assist.

give it a blast through with electrical contact cleaner as you work it back and forth too but wd40 would also be fine

I had the same problem. A little oil helped to get it moving again on my roadtrip and a good clean with WD40 fixed the problem for good when I was back home.
