Yep, as above the 71 has 8 wires. I ended up buying one of these as its way cheaper than in the UK and was buying other bits too $129. Superb service as always from EIS:

I've got one of these too but I'm struggling to match up the new colours on the stalk to the old colours on the loom. Did you follow any wiring diagram anywhere?

Ind switch Origional switch
Black to black/white/green
White to black/ white
Blue to brown/white
Red to red/black
Yellow to yellow /black
Grey/dust to greyish/ black
Green to green/black
Tangerine to brown
