i am so close to an mot its unreal, but my rear lights and indicators are driving me mad, some times the brake lights work, sometimes they dont, the rear indicators only seem to work every now and again, and when they do, they flash like a strobe and you can hear the relay going mental behind the dash, the same thing happens with the hazzard lights too!!

at present i have the USA rear lights, and i want to get the circuit working like it used to before i go swaping anything over. i have checked all connections and cleaned all earth terminals in the rear but still has mad no difference. The indicator stalk isnt exactly the most convincing switch either!!

i also have a black 1.5mm cable loose behind the dash, been through the wiring diagrams so many times and i still cant find where it goes.

Is there anything obvious that i might have missed? does this sound familiar?

i'd say this has been the one thing that has driven me the most up the wall, especially when my wife reminds me what i do for a living and asks "you done yet"!!!

any help could restore my sanity!!

If the connections are all good a fast relay suggests you've got a bulb out or a dodgy earth somewhere.
With the brake lights there should be a connection on the brake master cylinder? Can't remember what it was like when i did the one on my van, but i remember doing the one on my old bug and the connection was fubar, all corroded with green powdery ****.
