Indicators in Reversing Lights

Has anyone kept the reversing lights as they are and fitted the indicators also in the Hella reversing light units? Its something i've been thinking of doing. I've got 2 x amber bulbs and small bulb holders. Was thinking of drilling a small whole in the back of the unit and fitting the amber bulb with connector. That way ill keep the reversing lights and also have indicators.

Any help would be cool

I have that on mine, but I will be reverting them back to the orriginal location and fitting a Green LED bulb in the indicator holle, Green flashing through red, should flash amber

i`m defintely going to be using my reverse lights as intended as i need them where i live!

i have UK light housings - i also have US lenses and am going to try fitting green bulbs - if they aren`t bright enough or don`t work at all, i always have the option of fitting UK orange and red lenses.

Has anyone actually tried fitting green bulbs yet!!??

I did it on mine as it failed the MOT on US spec lights. It involved installing new wiring and playing around with the light switches until it all worked properly. Fine now though.

wiring, i`m ok with - did you use green bulbs? are they bright enough? cheers

My mistake, I don't have any reversing lights, I just turned them into indicators.

Think I painted the bulbs amber.

I have US spec lights so cant changed the lenses over. I think im going to try and drill a new whole in the back of the hella reversing lights a fit a bulb. Just not sure if ill fit an amber bulb or a clear one and change the larger reversing light to a amber one

we did ours a US bus all you need to do is paint the blub, take the original supply from off the back of the brake/indicator and run a new supply form the brake switch to the brake light position, "simples" :msn4: , should take about 30mins, some wire, connectors and glass paint
