So tis that time again and I see we get some discount from Cherished Vehicle, do we get any discount from others ?

How do you prove that you are an EB member??

So beyond CV, what are the sensible options for me?

37, no convictions or points, 6000 miles, agreed value of 10K and breakdown [europe cover too], wife as named driver.

thanks

I just insured with footman james, couldn't get a quote from cherished.

Agreed value of 9.5k, uK & european breakdown, unlimited miles
28 with one non fault accident and the mrs is 26 with 3 points and it came to 299

Not as good as some of the cherished quotes I've seen but was the best I could get with breakdown and it's nice not having to keep an eye on the mileage

Just renewed mine with CV.

Agreed value £16.5k, 5k miles, UK and European recovery £215

Had to use recoverY last year and got top service.

Well done CV

i can never understand how these insurance companys come up with their price's.
im 41, full uk licence from age of 19, full no claims bonus, no claims or accident's at all ever, limited millage of 3000 miles, insured for £12.000, fully comp, kept garraed in back garden at night and my renewal price £381. just dont get it ?? :?:

RH Specialised insurance. I am 26 and im in my 2nd year with them. Think its around £160 with breakdown and agreed valuation. Limited millage garage all the time.

I'm another with RH....just had to up the premium a small amount due to scooby engine and agreed value, but still only about £260...I'm 39, no points, garaged, etc

40 plus :msn4:
Limited to 5K miles (I wish) - No roadside assistance and fully comp - £90 with SureTerm.

Chicargo - depends on your are also!

as i'm sure you're realising .... insurance is often a total lottery!

i've just renewed with carole nash, details as follows:

agreed value
garaged
full uk and euro breakdown (AA)
46 years old
3000 miles
full no claims
@ £128 (up from £112 last year)

i previously had similar quote from footman james too, although i was put off them a bit when they kept failing to send me documents a few years ago.

Hi I'm with RH insurance and I'm 26 with full no claims , no convictions , no points, with my wife as named driver, unlimited mileage, value at £8000 (gone up since then) but I only paid. £102 fully comp (no breakdown as have AA already)

go tmy renewal last week.

JK/herts ins £266 (renewal)

Adrian flux £218 (quote)

RH £118 (quote)

all same cover so time to make a decission!!!!   what possable use could i have for an extra £100??????

anwers on a postcard to "Fritz, in the pub, on a barstool"

Mine was 300 quid with Flux last year, I'm thinking it will go up like the friggin car insurance did this year. I'm 37, no accidents or claims.

Have you guys with lowered buses disclosed this to the insurance? has it made any difference? It didn't with mine last year.

I think I'll give RH a try this time round. :D

Yes, all modifications declared, no difference to premium.

Disclose everything is my advice, write an inventory of everything you have added and keep a copy make sure you agree this

I'm not an underwriter but there are other (significant) factors such as the job you do and the area you live. It's back to the good old post code lottery!

You should ask for a breakdown of the premium. There are a lot of factors that will either increase or decrease you premium and the insurance company might explain how they arrive at the final premium.

Got my renewel from HIC - went up from £91 to £228.17!

No claims, convictions, no changes to vehicle, mileage or circumstances!

Switched to Sureterm - £88.....! Thank you very much.

Dont have breakdown with them but I have AA cover anyway.

Just insured both of mine with SureTerm (Cheers Andy)

69 Bay, 5000m p.a, £5k, Full UK and European, Courtesy Car, £122 Fully Comp

69 Beetle, 3000m p.a. £1k, Full UK and European, Courtesy Car, £101 Fully Comp

Chuffed :D

EDIT:- apparently their modified only permits up to 60mm lowered, or 2.5 inches??!! Worth checking if yours is slammed!

Yep all my mods have been disclosed and it didn't make any difference with Flux, but other insurers may differ??

CV came up ok with all my mods - agreed value etc shade over £200 parked on driveway

and today
