Interior Light Bulb length please?!?

Thinking of changing my interior bulb to an LED version... I presume the interior bulb is one of those long bulbs with 2 metal contact ends?!? I think they are called 'Festoon' bulbs?!?

Anyway...can someone tell me the length of the bulb as there seem to be different length bulbs available...

I'd measure myself but i dont have the bus to hand!!!

Spooky!! :shock: I was just looking at these last night and also Cotswoldiver asked the same question a few weeks ago. He had the choice of 42mm, 38mm or 30mm. I measured a spare bulb in the garage and tip to tip was about 38mm (without my specs on). I can only presume my reply was accurate as I have not had any repercussions so far. Hope that helps.

Edit; The site I was looking on, http://www.bettercarlighting.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; shows options of 40, 36 and 26mm, just to confuse matters! However, it states the 36mm is the most commonly used size and as the one I measured was definately less than 40mm, would go for that one.

That's where I bought mine from. I bought two different types and will be fitting next week. I've 'lost' power to the main internal light above the table at the moment so need to solve that first. Good service from them

i was comparing prices last night as i was looking for amber led bulbs for converting US to UK spec at the back and they are alot cheaper on ebay and look the same? just an observation.

am i being fick or sumfink as i have just measured mine and they are about 44mm tip to tip?
