I have a nice shiny set of dropped spindles sat at home waiting to be fitted, now i know its a friday night, but i can think of noting i want to do more than go home and fit them, unfortunalty the better half has other ideas.

so instead of spending a fun friday night on the drive with my tools, i have to sit in front of the TV watching......American Chopper hopefully, once she has fallen asleep lol

and i wont be fitting them over the weekend either, as i have to paint the living room!!!!

any one else have this dilema? please dont say i'm the only one!!

My Saturday is also ruled out as we're taking the kids down to Pompey to go round the Historic Dockyard tour (Victory, Mary Rose, Warrior etc)... luckily our bus isn't due to be with us until Oct 7th

Hopefully the shorter/darker evenings will allow more garage tinkering time

I have been converting my attic the past week or so in any spare time, and the wife is off out all day Sat shopping and I'm looking after the 3 year old.

I have a Firetec kit to fit and some other odds and sods.

Loxy thanks for the offer, but after reading the small print, im not happy with the contract!

Just popped out to fit my westy table and the holes for the screws have been enlarged!! probably the reason it was replaced! i have to fix that as well now

Don't mean to sound smug (and if you knew the cost, would know I'm not) but in some ways the divorce has had its benefits. Sit there watching someone elses choice on tv? No, that will NEVER happen again. Pizza chips and beer at one in the morning, no problem. Burp, fart, belch? Lets make it a contest,not an appology! Have my boy for the weekend, non stop VW's apart from pool in the local at tea time. Domestic chores can be a pain, but have a rather attractive young lady in line to help out there. I am talking about vaccuuming, dusting etc... Unfortunately that is all.....sigh..

that was my flat for 6 weeks this spring whilst I was doing the resto on the interior of my bus. The pics don't quite convey the dust and smell of yacht varnish either!

Its cool though cos I can get to almost every VW show there is and don't have to justify it to anyone 14 shows this and still a couple left yet :shock:

Do what I do, mess the painting up and she will never ask again :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: and once the kids have gone to bed just saying your going outside for 5, they usually get engroced (spelling) in some drama or soap and not notice the time.
I've gone out for a pack of cigs before and came back 5 hrs later and she didn't even notice :| :|

ebay mate. that must be half the collection. my workshop and loft are packed with them. im a shocking bargain hunter. at one point i had 25 sets of four or five porsche rims, but ive trimmed the fat a bit of late and i,m back down to under 20 sets.

they are apparently rare as rocking horse poo but ive managed to snipe three of them in two weeks so one more required. shod with 165 45 15 and 175 55 15 polished up as they are made from alloy. should look the tits

first one i got for £9.99 second was £16.00 third was £19.99. there is one on flebay at the mo but it is £85 buy it now. i just cant justify spending more than the first three put together to complete the set. so if the guy aint shifting the wait will go on
