J channels

Can anyone help me?
I am putting a ply headliner into a bus that never had one.The key thing is to get the j channels fixed in the correct place-can you help me with correct placement please.
I have searched this site and samba and it seems to be just me with this issue!!!!!

Headliner looks great any chance you could measure up from top of window rubber to bottom of j channel.
Also your rear shelf thing does it have a specific name as that looks much better than one with a door on,(not much headroom with the sunroof)

I think its just called a luggage shelf, yeah I can get that measurement for you.
