JK Jail Bar Kits

Just been sent a JK catalogue through the post and noticed the jail bar (bundle) kits are just 54.50 for the rear and side windows.
Got a little urge to get a set for my van later this year.
They seem very cheap compared to all the other usual suspects.
Any reason for this?
Anyone got a JK set n how are they?

I got the jk bundle over Xmas when it was on offer I think. I fitted the rears and they're fine, offered up the sides and thought they looked ****. So they're just sitting in the garage now, may sell them if you want them?

They are cheaper than the rest because they are cheaply made. Just don't hang your handcuffs on them I bought a set for my bus and 4 years and still look good. I can't fault them. And I only got them because I refused to pay what the others were selling them for.

All I will say is check for bad casting rubbish from within the central bracket and clean it out before putting the bars in as it has a tendency to scratch them.

or grab sum og brackets and use stainless tube?

JK used to sell genuine ones @ £50 ish quid . not sure what they sell now

I bought genuine and as they were just far nicer in terms of finish -I did have a repro set but couldn't bring myself to fit it as they are ***** :msn4:

Ha ha, your probably right! I don't think the side bars (diagonal) look good regardless of who makes them, others might disagree. As soon as I offered them up I knew I wouldn't fit them!
