Pulled the longer of these two off my one-owner '68 so I figure it is very likely original, but the replacement that everyone sells it way too short, see.

Any suggestions who sells the correct longer straight one ?

thanks

I bought some from Shorty on here when he had some left over from doing his.
The only downfall with the silicon hosing is that it has to be assembled to the filler pipe in location as the dia is larger and the pipe with the clamp won't go through the filler hole!

What length of pipe do you need for the filler?

C&c have one that's 215mm long & 46mm diameter whilst vw heritage is 120mm long & 55mm diameter?

That C&C one is for Type 3's

No good for your bus.

If you need the a longer bit the only way of doing it is to use the longer late bay hose and cut the angled section off.

I know it's not ideal but all we can do at present.

I think it's another 68 only thing.

Not sure if it makes any difference, but my bus is a jan 71, not a 68.

Do we still have the same hose problem?

Must change my avatar!

Need to make sure it's safe with petrol though...

Or this silicone one from same supplier...

(This say ID of 54mm but sure you could stretch it!!)

That's a nope on petrol bud ;-)

FWIW I bought mine from a kit car place, they do loads of the stuff. Can't remember what it was called but it was blue silicon.

Yeah, I've asked about, and discovered that since that original posting - it goes all soft and gluey...
