Been looking for a while, idealy a camper of any description, RHD, don't mind buying a bus and getting a different interior, rewiring and repainting, but want a bus with rust cut out and pics to show it done, tin or pop top don't mind. Will be a day bus at the beach in Devon mainly, with some camping with an awning. Want an early bay though, oh yes.

I am in Kent if there are those who know of anything in the local environs.

Will go a long way for the right bus though

Will I find a bus ? Who knows, but all your wisdom gratefully received

Agree with Araon, budget will dictate what you get, mine is for sale on Cool Campers,, he has better for more money & less desirable for less money. L/H/D will be a little cheaper than R/H/D for equivilent van.
Having said that, a really cheap one will probably cost a fortune in the long run !

Thanks gents, yes RHD since it will be in the UK mostly, and wife prefers it. My 66 car is LHD and is fine, but RHD for the bus.

Have seen yours on Coolcampers, looks good, bit high for me at the mo. Was it restored? I'll take my time and wait for the right solid bus, but will push the budget to get a van that soemone else has spent money on

Cheers

Thanks gents, I spoke with him yesterday, very helpful and has a few coming in early 08, so I will amble along and have a look I think.

Does anyone have feedback on vans from SA? Wouldn't have thought there would be big probs but you never know

Thanks

Should have no prob's what so ever. Nice and dry. The only think to look for is accident damage but that applies for anywhere .

I'd love a RHD dry bus - a guy I sold some bits to picked them up in his Aussie import, I loved the fact that the patina was all RHD related (worn paint where the driver rested his arm on the window etc). Aussie (dry states), South Africa - all good to me...

;)

Sorry for delay, yes was restored in approx 2000, by previous owner who is vehicle sprayer, restorer, also had engine replaced in approx 2002. Has bed, fridge, cooker, sink, and awning, both front wheel arches have some rust bubbling, a pair of correct ( early ) new outer wheel arches are included, can provide pictures and info as required.
Price is for bus as it stands,, as soon as my next one arrives I will swap engines and reduce the price.
Cheers Dubby
