Hi all,
down to the metal now and found I need the metal around the tail lamp apertures, both sides.be a ball ache to make from scratch.Are these available repo or do I have to get them cut out.ideally rust free cuts.....I need the bits as highlighted below.......Cheers - Rob

Hi Rob...If that was me I'd get a template by putting a piece of cardboard up against on the inside, draw thru with a pencil, taking care to make sure it's not smaller than your actual outline, find someone local with a plasma cutter and get a quote .. maybe someone on here could help you out..? Maybe post this up on the 'General' site? Wish I could help you out ... just my sort of thing but alas no plasma :(
 
there was a guy on here a while back thinking of knocking exactly those cuts out it make take a bit of searching. for him but i think they should still be on here

Thanks guys - this is my plan exactly - going to see an engineer today!!
 
i`d weld over the aperture completely then use a template and a plasma to cut out the correct shape...not rocket science and certainly not scary...go for it rob :mrgreen:
 
thats the best plan. then you can garauntee getting them in the right place.

i have to cut in the bottem inch of mine as i had to go quite high with my replacement lower corners. i was just gonna draw the outline in and cut out with a finger grinder and drill the hole in.

I can't weld very well & I havn't got a plasma :(
