Louvre window restoration

We have bought new seals to completely renovate our louvre windows. What's the best product to use to polish the aluminium and once that's completed, to seal it after?

While your at it order a new drill? Ive used these type of polishing kits for a while now but they play havoc with the bearings on a drill chuck.
