LPG conversion

Quick question, could you ditch petrol completely & only run on LPG?
If so, do you still need the original petrol carbs or does a conversion come with all the gas gizmo's?
I was just thinking that if my tank & carbs were on there way out, this could be a cheaper option....

I guess it depends on what is up with your carb?

You would still need something there to control the throttle butterfly but instead of providing the fuel mixture it's just opening the butterfly and sucking in the LPG/Air combo. So I guess as long as the butterfly part on your old carb is fine you should be ok
