I could be wrong and don't have the more indepth Bible, but the 21 is your engine and transmission type isn't it??

47BHP engine, manual transmission and engine M-code 157:

Fuel Injection Engine
Engine nr. ED 0000001 -- ED 0025000
Engine nr. GD 0000001 -- GD 0055800
Engine nr. GE 0007083 --
Engine nr. GD 0010984 -- GD 0027786
Engine nr. GE 0000001 --
Engine nr. GD 0019172 -- GD 0025723
Engine nr. GE 0000001 --

Sure others will correct me if I'm wrong!

697 = Continental Tyres fitted

21 is a new one and not listed, if its 021 then its an M code but I don't know what for, P21 is a campmobile code though :?:

On a 68 M code plate, the location it falls in are listed as aggregate codes listing engine & gearbox fitted

2 is 1600 47bhp engine
1 is a 4 speed manual transmission

My thanks to the 3 of you - I was expecting part of it to relate to the heater which I thought had been a factory fit as the westy spent time in Alaska, but maybe that was added later.

Nice to fill in the gaps, many thanks
