Making Door Cards

Hi, thinking of making some over the winter, was wondering what to use to make the cards? ply/hardboard/ something else ?

I used 3mm birch ply for my cards, came out ok. still need to do the sliding door as i dont have one for template.

Any decent ply will do, it's easy to make templates just get some paper and tape it over and run a pencil around the indent and just use you thumb or similar large digit to press into the recesses fro the holes
