OK it's time to crack on with the interior on my Dormy and I'm undecided as to respray the dormy cupboards and retrim them or go a little more wild and buy some vohringer ply and reface the main cupboard, build a new wardrobe unit kick panels etc. and inlay some new SMEV units in the top etc.

Real question is if I decide to have a go at the vohringer how best to go about cutting out the holes in the actual plank and then recessing the grove. Appreciate a router is the way forward but never had a go before and at @ £120 a plank of 8 x 4 one slip could be costly. The alt would be to commison a trademan to make the panels for me to fit finnsih etc. so trying to work out how much it would cost to do this or whether anyone on ere knows of someone already doing it reckon the amount of dormies out there surely there's a market for this ???

120 a sheet sounds a bit steep to me try google W T Eden, thats who i get my panels from, personaly i would get someone skilled to do it if your not sure but saying that you will only learn if you do it yourself, i would say around 2 days to do a like for like replacement for a carpenter and around £300 labour( depending on area).
Best of luck

By some ceap MDF or something to practice with first and when you're confident do the good stuff.
