Map downloads

Evening gents, looking for maps I can download directly to my tablet, preferably that can be used on the road without internet access for european use . Got any suggestions I like the Via Michelin printed maps but can't seem to find anything on the web.

You can use google maps offline.

yeah most "online" ones do, but then you can't use it like you would a sheet map on a journey. last year we took our michelin map of france as we have used before it is great. but we went via Brugge in Belgium and cuz belgium was so nice never really left and only had fairly large scale sheet map of belgium so at a "local Road" level is was not accurate.

So i am looking for maps that can be downloaded "complete" and used like an old school map book.
