Hi, i think I am looking for a piece of tinware and need some advice if the part in the link below is what I'm missing.

I have a 1300tp AB code engine that has been upgraded to a 1641 and now sits in my early bay.

However the long piece of tin under the engine (sled) does not fit properly and it seems as if a piece of tin may be missing. If I fit the long sled with the rise to the front of the vehicle it rises at an angle and does not fit flat as it should so it can't be bolted to the engine case or the bracket off the heat exchanger will not meet the sled tin. Does this tinware act like a spacer between the bell housing tin and the long under tin. I would estimate the gap to be about 2 inches.

Is it number 26 on the link below?

Number 26 on that- there are two of them, one slightly different- just bolts to the upper tinware. Your "sled" piece should rise up at the front (on the bus) to meet the over cylinder tinware. It's open at the back, number 26 sorta fills that gap a bit.

The top image in this thread:

Shows the right hand side sled tinware looking from the back of the bus.
