MOT rear seat question

I'm going to be taking my bus for an mot shortly but the new rear 3/4 r'n'r bed doesn't have foam and covering on it yet it's just plain board on the metal frame. The seat belts are in and work fine.

Is this an mot fail?

NO if there is no seat dont have to test the belt,if you can sit on it and its only wood thats ok counts as a seat,so dont panic :msn4:

I told the MOT guy i had 2 lap belts and a race harness in the back, he just said 'they don't need checking' and carried on without checking!!!

depending on the age of the vehicle seat belts probably were not fitted as standard. so you should be ok. If they are fitted retrospectively they will be tested. Just take them off before you go.

The belts work fine so i'm not bothered about them being tested. It was just the seat foam and covering i was concerned about.
