a big leap for me, finally I dropped Jerry off today to spend the week with the signwriter.

also got a set of 14" steelies...But im not overley sure on those atm

truck mirrors are on the way for consideration too.

today I removed some of the stickers on the tailgate glass and put a couple of my own custom ones on. I've been a little busy with getting older and working 7 days to start personalising the interior, but I am hoping that will commence imminently on days off.

the engine is also only running on 3 cyclinders until it gets warmed up so I need to get it looked at.

Singwritting looks really good. I've seen some faux aged signwritting that looks crap but they've done a great job with yours. Sticker looks good too.

Thanks dude, Its all about making it a bit personal now.
Signwriting is ok maybe a little too prominent, Im considering taking it back a bit, some of the edges arr a bit sharp where theyve made a stencil and used it.
Over time, Im going to look at rekitting the interior, probably wood paneling /cladding effect including roof.
Ive had a quote from delilhas too to reupholster the seats and do me some new foam in red basketweave or red vinyl leatherette, but thats long term. Main thing for now is the interior panelling. And hopefully Ill get to a few shows/ camp sites this year.

Decided to make a start on the interior today and managed to take it all out ...thats it

all the insualtion is coming out, being bagged and refitted. ive bought some more so that all the internals will be covered. every time i turned on the internal lights, they popped a fuse. This was just down to a bent terminal in the rear light touching the body. I have opted for LED lights when the van is refitted. There will be a switch in the back aswell to turn them on off as the Gf's little one will be sleeping in a bunk up front.

In my head the idea is american western saloon looking....but time will tell.

the wool will do for now as I'm skint atm, but im wrapping it.

today I putt this on

and took some of the paint back on the signwriting, It was too prominent for me. It needs finishing off but here is the jist of it

carried on with the insulation but stupidly ran out of bin bags...Foool !!

I've had a couple of weeks off of the van due to studying for a work promotion.

I started putting the wood cladding in the roof and sides. The roof is an absolute mare doing it single handedly, ive got some helpers for the next stint.
I need to shape the wood at the front so this will come out and be shaped before I carry on !

Ive started on one side - but im not sure how to do the rear corners as yet.

this will be stained and distressed, I have sailor jerry playing cards to be stuck on the ceiling and stained over.

please bare in mind, ive never done anything like this before so it isnt perfect...... But its my not perfect

I wasn't happy with some of the van so took it down and started again :roll:

Here are some pics of todays efforts. so much to do still and no time off for another 5 days. I've been eyeing up a few little trinkets for the van again :msn4: Someone (i think off of here) runs the mantique boutique. Im fancying a framed old school cut throat razor as one of my trinkets

anyway, here's a couple of pics.
remember its not perfect, but its just to freshen it up a bit, I'm not sure I will part with this van tbh (famous last words).

Ive been out on it all day , just stopping for a quick bite to eat. This cladding is taking me forever, im still on my own trying to get it done but im getting there.
Unfortunately the shape of the roof and its angles means the last pieces of wood won't quite sit flush.
Ill be sorting some wood filla too for the rough bits before staining - probably in dark oak.
