For the brake servo, for next to nowt, in the mean time however my mate turned one up for me too, which I had to buy off of him as he'd gone to the trouble of sorting one out for me

But it's slightly different so I've refurbed the one off of Gareth & I'm using the pushrod & seals & resovoir thing off the other one!!

Need a few bits of pipes n clips n stuff, which I've ordered from JK today, so should be here in the morning.

And another CPP (custom Parker part) Darren is repairing the heater tube using a ford Ka door we found hiding behind my caravan

The bit I got from JK were for a later bus, so I found some of the same plastic brake pipe on a Mercedes servo in the scrap yard & modified that to fit & reach the resovoir behind the drivers seat!!

Then I stashed a case of inspiration in the engine bay to spur Darren on with the wiring :rolf:

&18.50 well spent there
Goin to find something in the scrapyard to fit instead I think???

I know the feeling mate ,I've been looking through parts I've bought and was shocked that parts have faided in colour and rubbers have perished  ,they have been boxed for a year or so indoors so don't hold much hope for them lasting long. When she's back together ime thinking of selling up and going back into scooters ,I would love to know the mark up on these parts, just fed up with buying shit quality parts and original parts are out of most peeps price ,rant over

Good 2nd hand bits are best, but getting harder n harder to find!!!!
The quality n fit of new stuff is a joke!!

Don't lose faith with your bus marra you've come such a long way!!!!
This thing was nearly swapped the other day, but I'm a stubborn "basta, so & so and I'll not be beat!!

Like I said a good flat n polish yours will be grand!!!
Build it up, use it & if your still not happy, drive it up here & I'll do it for you in 2k or base n laquer!!!!!!

Just been through the same situation with mine!
I'm now on the third upper reservoir.
Garage replaced the first when master cylinder was replaced, as it kept leaking from the join with the tube.

Second one was fine for a while (a week) then on the return from holiday it started to leak from the base, I later removed it and found it was cracked at the base, not sure why maybe been over tightened or handled a bit roughly, so bought another and replaced it myself using the nylon clamp and its been fine since.

I think if I have any more problems I would probably try to get an old used one.

Well I only replaced it cos the other one was minging n looked a bit brittle, but it's been swilled out with thinners & it's cleaned up a treat
Can't be any more brittle than the new one ??????

Starting the interior on Saturday, just need to work out what thickness of ply for the floor board?? :?

Darren was cracking on with the wiring, but there's a problem with the ignition switch now, so the column might need to one off again to get to the bit that's at fault :x :x

Looking great!
On the parts front it doesn't matter even if it says German quality.
I gotgsome "German quality" door mirrors at Busfest and the quality is shat!
One of them had no threads on it when I wound the nut back.
But scofields came through and sent another one the very next day foc!!

The new ones do seem to be a bit brittle.

I think its 9mm on the base and 6 mm over that in two layers. Loads of info on here about this!
I was able to re-use mine when I painted the cargo floor, they just needed a good wipe with some white spirit.
Got a piece of birch ply for my headliner from James Latham's in Felling they seem to have good quality stuff.

Cheers Mike, I read somewhere 9mm & 6mm, seems excessive to me :?
I think I'll need one, more sheet of birch for my headliner as I've got 2 in the Lock up already, only problem is I can't fit them in the car to get them to work

Reet !!
Progress???

Well we've started the interior ,

Amazing how much space an interior takes up outside the van

Eventually I ended up with this!! 8) ??

I've been asking a few questions about the ply flooring & I was told to put 1 layer off 9mm + 1 layer of 6mm.

Unfortunately in my wisdom I decided 1 layer of 15mm would work!!
I then worked out why 2 layers were needed, the first should be shaped to fit just over the ridges in the floor(see above) the second should go right to the edges

BUT I've started this way now so I'll have to finish  :?

Looking good :D

Liking the wooden wheels on the van.... very distinctive.
