This is my other early camper (sucker for punishment)
It's a 1969 lhd ex dutch fire truck. It was inported several years ago and has not only had a few owners but been around the clock a few times.
This is my custom van that i have lowered and fitted a big engine to.

This van i have owned and used for nearly 10 years and done over 30000 miles in.....we have had many adventures and holidays in her.

This is a 1776 with twin webbers and gives the boy racers a run for their money!!!!!
PIC00004.jpg

The interior (rear) was taken out of a split screen and given to me for free a long time ago.....you would not get that now.
PIC00002.jpg

I recently repaired and repainted the rear myself..not concourse but better than before!!

Future plans now include replacement o/s front wheel arch, all 3 seals, rear wheel arches.........i am sure you know the rest........i will include photos of this as i do it .........so watch this space as they say!!!!!

Hi Deano,

Bus looks hard as nails!
Funny how it spent it's first years attending fires and now just lights them..... with the rear tyres!

Dan

Yes the van is running 40's ......i still have to get them fully tuned but rust has got there first!!

Like wot they all said :D

Loving the look of the paint, looks 'grungy', as if it should be part
of a '70's rock band - if you know what I mean

So the rust repairs begin!!!!

Wish i had not taken the bumper off now!
PIC00001-2.jpg

Looks like the tape was holding the wheel arch up!

PIC00008-2.jpg

This is what was being held by the tape!

Back from hols now and see that you have been busy!
Any further updates from this weekend?

Start the resto work on mine next weekend...... wish me luck!

Dan

Your bus looks fine! I get a warm glow seeing folk preserving these lovely vehicles, early bays not getting scrapped but being lovingly hand built back to their prime. More power to your restoring elbow.

Manged to do a few hours this weekend but blown another angle grinder!
PIC00031.jpg

Front and rear outriggers and jacking points removed, inner and outer sills removed.......just started to tackle the middle sill when i was informed it was packing up time!!!!!!!
