had a productive weekend and managed to get a couple of things done. Had some hardboard lying around left over from stuff I got that I'm using as a temp cargo floor so thought I'd have a go at making some cab door cards as I have 1 original left over. Didn't come out too bad considering my lack of skill! Will now do one side panel by wheel arch that's not covered by units and the rear hatch a go.

Prob not as good as you can buy but I'm hoping they'll get covered at some point anyway!
I've given them a wash of roughly 1:1 water:pva glue to seal it. Think that's worked ok but might give the side facing the inner door (rough side) a coat of decorators varnish for good measure - plus I have the plastic splashguards so hopefully won't get damp....

Also fitted new indicator lenses from C&C (went for German one's in the end for an extra £10):

Ok, now for the questions...
Anyone know what these are for:

Are they for the rear number plate?
Speaking of which, should I go for long & thin:

or short and fat

:D cheers

Good work bud. I'd go for a nice square reg plate. Don't know what that bracket is for though.

Nice work on the panels and the van looks really tidy boot. I'd go for the square rear plate meself. And what a smart plate it is anyone else reading 'Gosh' on the bottom :)

Yeah looks like a bent plate bracket. Square on the back is a definate. Is that a new age related plate from the DVLA? Seems long for a "H" if you know what i mean.

it could almost read VW GOSH, if it was squeezed together, very napolean dynamite :D

thanks guys, I was thinking square too. Funny tho, never noticed the GOSH - Liking it :D
Re the bracket, should the bent bits go back like this then:

or should it be attached the other way round?
Do I really need it??
Not sure where it came from as it doesn't seem to be from it originally:

The plates are proper ones from Framptons.
Cheers
