So I've been buying bits and bobs and planning to spend a bit of time on the bus this weekend adding my new chrome wipers, brows, jail bars, and other bits I've gathered up as I finally finished the nursery decorating and had a free weekend.
I opened the nursery door by chance just to have a look and found this!!!

The poxy ensuite upstairs sprung a leak, luckily I caught it early!!

So this little lot will have to wait whilst I re paint and plumb the house!

This little Doris can stay in her box for now aswell,
I've not had a spare minute for the van since I got it, frustrating!!

Few more bits have arrived for the bus, mozzie net replacements and westy pop top fringe,

Does anyone know what the original fly screens were made of? I've got one made of plastic/fibreglass and one metal/wire in my bus?

Fitting my chrome wipers today, very happy with them

Chorme wipers look very cool, I thought they might be too bling, but they look quality. May I ask where you picked these up? C & C?

Cheers foz, I don't plan on slamming it or anything just yet, firstly I want to strip the whole thing out and renew/replace anything that's knackered, flooring, headlining etc, clean the whole thing up a bit then enjoy using it throughout the summer. Looking forward to this years shows as I actually be attending as a bus owner and not just a bus fan!!

Managed to squeeze a couple of hours in on the van today, finally got round to fitting the jailbars! I almost couldn't do it due to having to drill holes in the bus!!

I've also got a set of the side jailbars (the diagonal ones) but not sure what I think of them. What's people's opinions on them?

Been busy today, pulled all the interior out so that I could get to the floor and headlining.
This was the state of the floor before a clean up

It's not actually that bad, really solid but just think I should treat it whilst its all out.
What would you treat this with ?

I used Krust followed by hammerite straight to rust paint. (Halfords)
Nice having a dry bus init!?
Yeah I was really happy, can believe I only found 1 dime and 2 cents though!
So did you wire brush/sand it down then treat it, Hammerite it, then paint over it?

Wire brush in a drill dun the job for me. then Krust, then hammerite. :)
The same areas on your were identical on mine, where it can breathe and get damp.
not bad for age though eh!?
Dont forget face mask. ;)

Sweet bus mate. Can I ask a question on your sidelights? I've just got an earlybay and the last owner had taken these off so I'm in the process of putting some new ones on....are the rear red ones wired into the light circuit and the front yellow ones in the indicator circuit?

Thanks
