Sweet bus mate. Can I ask a question on your sidelights? I've just got an earlybay and the last owner had taken these off so I'm in the process of putting some new ones on....are the rear red ones wired into the light circuit and the front yellow ones in the indicator circuit?

Thanks
Do you mean the running lights on the side? I think the fronts are just reflectors, and the red rears are lights but they're not wired in. I'm not sure on the mot rules in the uk regarding running lights so I've not bothered wiring them in incase they can't be used.

Been a busy boy the last few days, first I rubbed down any rust bubbles in the Rear floor and treated with kurust

Then primed with red oxide primer

Then painted with a rattle can of pearl white (which was a very good matchby the way)

keep the OG one, dont sell as like me you will regret it and put it back in at some point!

The OGside panel? It's right mess mate, crumbling like a Jacobs cracker!! I will keep it and stash it up somewhere, not sure why though! :?

I picked up 3 5x5 3mm birch ply sheets to do the headlining, out of the 3 only 1 is useable due to having these wedges in them.

If anyone needs two sheets and plan on painting or covering them let me know.

Great work on the floor Bigbear..!! Bus looking great..!! 8) :D

I'm going to do that same job on my floor soon..!! :D

What thickness is that floor?
Does it not need to go right back?

I'll be doing mine shortly is why I ask!!

The bottom ply is 9mm and the top is 6mm, I've cut the floor using the old original westy floor as a template so it is exactly as intended. I did think about taking it all the way back , but that would start affecting the bed etc I think, best to replace as close to original as possible I reckon, there's obviously a reason it's like that.
The sizes of ply are hard to get hold of though, I had a bit of luck really as 'max power' on here had some left from when he did his floor.

9 mm with 6 mm on top of it then?
Cool!!

Finished the headlining today, what a pain in the arse the front half is!!

Had to be a bit creative and move the interior light forward so that I could cut out one of the wedge/jigsaw pieces and not have to buy a new sheet.

Il get some pictures up tommorrow of the headlining in situ, got a bit dark to take pics.

Also replaced the rear interior light with one from just kampers, my old original one was knackered and I've struggling to find an original replacement so this will do until I do find one.

Not to everyone's taste I'm sure, but I'd rather a light I can use than an original that doesn't!
