Need a Part P registered electrician

Anyone recommend a good one? I need to have a 240V mains hook up installed.

You're right. You need an approved electrician who can certify the installation to Section 721 (Electrical Installations in Caravans and Motor Caravans) of BS 7671:2008 (Amendment 1 2011).

Rules and regs aside - you need someone who is competent to provide a safe installation.
Most DIYers won't have invested in the qualifications, test equipment and accreditation a professional sparks has.
And that doesn't mean they'll charge you a fortune, the sparks I know won't any way, the time they spend doing the job properly will be a lot less than someone that doesn't know what they're doing
