soo, hello to all.
after my early pannel, sold a year ago to past my driving test

i've been resently looking for another eb!
today i went to see a few, my bujet being around 1000euros i wasnt expecting much.. the first i looked at ..no joke, must have had 1cm of filler on every visible part of the body work! i'm still in shock, asif they thought no1 would notice. lol
anyway, the second1, i met up with the owner at saintes (dep17)..france. he came along in his t25 pannel, and followd him to where the bay was. ended up being a night club called 'la cox' ..with a beetle on the roof :lol: ..went round the back and there it was under a tarp, first impressions were good, was addvertised as a 'blue pannel van for complet restoration, rock n roll bed in side' and tbh thats what i was expecting!
soo checked it out, after the past few bays this 1 was like new :shock: had had some repair work on the sills, not too badly done, but not great, but yeah things like the cab floor n front arches were like new! chassi was good too!
but it wasnt a pannel, it had to westy windows (one in the door an another opposite that) and as for the rock n roll bed :? ..opened the sliding door to find a peeerfic origanl eb westy interier! :shock:
..engine was described as 'hs' basicly meaning dead.. aparently after a talk it was running a year ago when he stoped using it, just dosnt turn anymore, (afternoons work t get that going again
) but he had basicly bought a new engine for it, just in bits, all in packaging still ..so that was a result all included
..and that brings me to the question! ..the roof, it has the part in which a sunroof would slide into, but no sunroof, it had a sort of dormobile roof just resting on the top, because apparently the origanl camping roof was stolen (why they would only take that, i dont know :?)
i wanted to know if they did do a pannel van with sun roof? or a pannel van westy even ..not seen any, i'm geussing it was done by one of the preveus owners, but my dad thought it would be good t check it out! just strange to have the hole sunroof system in place, and i know they did do a pop top that fitted into sun roof buses so yeah
its a 71 bus, didnt think to look at the plates at the time (then still wudnt know what id be looking for) and didnt take photos left my fone in the car with the excitment of checkin out a new bus :roll:
the guys guna call me tomorow, and i'll secure it ..must be had this one!
so what are peoples thoughts about the roof? just a modified pv van or possible something else :lol:
