hello there, i just got the date for ninove 2010 confirmed.
14 march 2010 will be the date. (and i think of throwing a little party on sat ev... so be prepaired )
hello guys, i was hesitating between two "features" for this show, but now it is certain: the show will be an early bay special: "THE EARLY BAY BONANZA"
this means we will have a special early bay line up ...
hope it sounds good to all of you
I wish i could get to this. We've been looking for a euro show to do but the van won't be quite ready and, hopefully, my business will just be started so funds would be tight.
If i'm not to late from a wedding off a friend off mine the 13e.
Then i will be there on the 14e....but for my its not so far
Lets hope for good weather....see you all there then.
Just been checking in my diary, Tredegar House is 3 weeks later?
Anyhow, spotted potential for an ear bashing from the folks,
Sunday 14th March, MOTHERS DAY!!!! Sorry Mum, I'll bring you back some chocolate.......
Really bloody annoyed... I thought my bus was going to be ready but the new engine has started pissing oil during the running in time so I now have to pull the motor again and go over it. Hopefully its something trivial and I'll still be able to make Ninove. Fingers crossed for me please!
It's just FIVE WEEKS  on Friday until I head down to Folkstone ready for an early chunnel crossing on Saturday morning.
The plan was to have re-built the spare engine, fitted the 1302s 'box and newly built engine, run it in and proved all o.k.
Well, the 'box is still in the shed and engine sat on the garage floor exactly as it was when I bought it from mcvw, not even stripped, never mind assesed and re-built!!!! Seeing as how I will be working away from home (Scarborough) for at least the next 2 weeks, then I think I will be making the trip with the old SP motor I threw back together last year for Brighton Breeze, complete with mangled head and piston!!! As the song says, 'Steady as she goes'.
Clem, you got the o.k. to go then?
Slammed, a pain I know, but you do have a little time and better to sort it now than it have happened during the trip.
Yeah I know, it's just a pain because I'm still running the engine in, got another 200 miles to put on it yet, and I'm off to Austria for a week on Saturday.
I think I might be changing the oil on the tunnel crossing at this rate!
Yeah my engine is on the bench, most of my steering isn't attached to the bus anymore, and there is still the master cylinder to install and brakes to set up yet. New tyres, chassis notching and tracking to sort out too
I'm still in running in mode as well with 200+ miles to go!
Hope nothing goes wrong in the next five weeks, but its getting mighty close and the set up still isn't right
