dear all

my brakes were working ok but one of my front backing plates was totally gone so in my wisdom i decided that i would sort out my backing plate and replace all the solid brake pipes and new cab brake cylinder and pipe work to feed the master cylinder

but now when i bleed my brakes there is resitance but the minute i try it while the van is moving the pedal hits the floor so what is up?

new master cylinder in last year, no leaks, no bulging pipes

any ideas thanks in advance JTB

Does it bleed all okay as it sounds like there is an air leak somewhere? I would take the master cylinder out and have a nosey at it, the work you way all over the brakes to check. There isnt a wheel cylinder knakered somewhere? have a look at the backs of all you wheels to see for and "damp" patches. :?:

also once you have bled the brakes, and tested it, does the level in the reservoir change?

right last night narrowed it down to rear drivers side wheel

so my mate looked today after taking the hub off and no leaks kinks or anything so he recons master cylinder
must be gone

so where do i get one for a 1970 bay or can you buy a repair kit to save me a few quid
might post this as a seprate questions

thanks in advance

JTB
