No longer can get reverse

I resersed out of my drive went around the block drove in the drive then thought I would turn the van around I think it in reserve but not moving anywhere

I have an empi gear shifter and can get all other gears

Got. It in a few days and guessing will not pas without Reverse

And ideas going to check the rear coupling after work tomorrow gear box oil was drained and replaced recently

Do you know, I'm not sure that you need reverse for the MOT... Although you might fuck to he tester off so much that he cancels the test!

Can you get it when your engine is switched off?


Unbolt your shifter and take a look at the lock-out plate underneath. If that looks good bolt it up till you can still just about move it around and run through the gears.

As tight as it can be the reverse lights are on and it's not grinding just not spinning the wheels

Will call mot centre to see what they say..

Any ideas what it could be?

Jack it up and see what happens with the wheels off the ground? That is strange.

Forward gears make a wheelspin reverse doesn't

Looks like the spring bits gone on the inside the gear shifter.
