Actually no, crossovers came out before lates so they cant be something that didnt exist. lates are actually crossovers that were beaten with the ugly branch :msn4:

So on that note a Crossover cant be an early due to the early coming out first..........result

And i alwayd thought it was the crossdressers that came out first ;)

Crossovers are classed as earlies on this site because they have 'lowlights', its in the title.
If they arent earlies because they are slightly different from the previous year then everything post 68 is technically a crossover :?
What we cant dispute is that they are all definately Bays 8) (except maybe those brazilian baysplits)

wait! does that mean 79 bays are prototype T25's??

Mines a very early forerunner of the T6 - they were round last week taking some more measurements ;)

Thats got to be a crossover. The owner is so ashamed they have tried to cover it up, but the dude at the rear with the cross telling people to get back gives it away.
I actually think they look better like this and think all owners should consider this style, if only for the benefit of others who have to look on. After all its alright for you lot, you cant see the rear while your driving and ive noticed you all reverse close to walls when you park up.

Secret admission - bit like "coming out"

I like crossovers and I like late bays too.

Brilliant !! Very well done all  ^^^ Nothing like a good chuckle when you`re on the pan in the morning and that lot above really did the trick. About time we returned to a little mirth as that`s what it`s all about at the end of the day.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Bit too much info maybe ^^^

I thought I was the only one who chuckled on the pan  Must be a crossover thing.
Mind, you do need a sense of humour listening to the same old recycled comments year in year out but I do love the banter ;)

Hey !
The funny thing is we all drive a late 60s or 70s derivative or a vw commercial vehicle with changes along the way...right?

so if we are lucky enough to be around in 40 or so years then the T4 and T5
commercial/camper /california van thing owners may be shouting the odds ...like

them back lights are more ugly than mine! :lol:and that aint got them no more ....thats wrong

How F%%*ked up does that sound?

dont tell me it dont!

I remember a time when it was quite popular to graft in the late bay rear corners to get the better, safer and more modern looking rear lights and there were also quite a few who fitted the high up indicators too so their van looked more modern.

Its a bit like the way cutting out and replacind the rear split windows in beetles was a popular update in the 50's
