I was cleaning my 68 today and when I got to the roof with the machine buffer I noticed it was rubbing thru to what looks like the og paint below.

How do I get the whole roof down to this?
The whole roof seems to be really flaky rough paint up until this spot

Any tips? I really want to bring her paint back to the original stuff.

Lots of hours with graffiti remover and some scotch brite pads. Just take your time and enjoy the fruits of your labour .

It will be worth it in the end !!

Perfect cheers for that bud.
Is there a technique?

Can also use acetone & a fine grade wire wool. Not all techniques work the same, depends on the paint. What you do need is time and patience... Plenty of it.
Good luck :)

Mine started as this

After 350 hours ish and lots of polishing and sanding

I have done some painting but most of it is original, any questions please ask bud

Small update.

I got a whole day at it last weekend.

Nothing seemed to move it,little bits came off in places but that's it.howerever I gave it a go with a pressure washer, very carefully, and that took more off.but there are still bits that won't budge.
I'm just wondering if a claybar would work?
Or very fine sandpaper and lots of water?
