Oil strainers for 1600cc type 2 engine, dual release case

Does anyone sell one with a nice tight mesh like the originals, all the ones I have found so far have a mesh with really big gaps, which if you ask me is a bit pants considering that's all the filtration a stock engine has

So far I've tried Euro Car parts, GSF, VW Heritage and Machine 7, I've not had one from JK yet as hey are currently on back order

Thanks in advance
Adam

Rather than buy any repro crap, if you have the original just put it in an old ice cream tub clean it with either engine cleaner or petrol, dry it then reuse it.

I would but the problem is I'm building an engine and haven't got an original one

How soon do you need it, if I have one I'll post it to you, that's if I can find an old one, I can look wednesday if its not pissing down.

Sorry mate, I had a look and I only found a repro one, even though I know I have one somewhere I couldn't find it.
