I know some people here are part of Old Volks in Bristol so I was wondering if I could ask a question...I had a look at the website a few months ago and it said they weren't taking on new members. Is this still the case? I did try and just join the forum (surely that's separate?) but although signed up with 2 email addresses, haven't had confirmation link so am kinda 'in limbo'. Emailed moderators (not easy finding an address as you can't pmail them until you log in..!) but no reply so don't know what's going on...
Would someone be able to prod someone? Using same username: mginty
cheers

There are other VW clubs in Bristol too. :)

Or...

When I'm in Bristol, I attend the meets of the KDC. We normally get a few early bays in attendance.

You ought to pop along to the next one at the white Hart then :) - that'll be in November, probably the 2nd. I may pop down from Brum to that meet.

I also organise the Bristol Christmas cruise, too 8)

The OVC forum only lets you access / post in the beginners section until you are a paid up member of the OVC.

hi mate
kdc meet monthly and swop between bristol and dursley just up the m5 alternatively . next meet is dursley check the web site for date details, all welcome last meet in bristol had over 80 people there . cheers steve

Hey dude! that is correct we are not really taking on any more members at present, but im sure in the new year we will be taking on some more

We have placed a limit on it due to a number of reasons, but you are more than welcome to come along to our next meet as you never know

There are a few clubs in the area so my advice would be to try em all out and go along to the meets, as they may not all suit you. As for The Old Volks Club We are a nice bunch of chaps and as long as you drink rough cider and live & breath VWs then you cant go wrong. 8)

Catch ya soon.

it's like the hells angel's...

you have to be easy's bitch for 6 weeks and if your still standing...YOURE IN!

Thanks for the replies...am on the kdc forum but not really a prolific poster there...also went to a Bath air-cooled meet some years ago but as my van has been off the road for a while didn't follow it up. Heard about them thru edubs - anyone remember/ heard of that???!
Don't think I've even managed to post in the OVC in the 'waiting room' as need to log on and haven't been sent confirmation email....oh well, once back on the road will come and check em all out....not sure about the rough cider tho but sure I could be 'turned' ;-)

The government would find out and increase the duty on cider, and that's us all stuffed.

p.s. cheese

Luckily we brew our own aswell! so not much tax on cider moonshine!

The trouble is it never lasts long as we tend to test the taste to much and it runs out for some reason!
