Where to start, ok so for sale is our original paint Neptune Blue with cloud white roof 67/68 Bay camper called SPUD! Obviously as a delux it started life as as a micro bus, in the dry Americas before being imported a few years ago. We bought this last year from a lovely chap in Cheshire who sold it for health reasons.

It has very early bay parts, trigger cab door handles, long rear view mirror etc etc.

When we bought it had been stood since importing a year or so before in the guys garage and the engine hadn't be run in the uk. The gearbox wasn't working and it had no mot. I had it delivered to a vw specialist mechanic who overhauled the engine, gearbox and got it all working tip top and I have the receipts for this work for the next owner. I then took it straight to the MOT station where it passed with no advisories and the mot guy was impressed when he brushed away the dusy underside to reveal the Neptune blue paint.. No under-seal hiding any nasties here! The cab floor has had the classic repair and there's a small hole near battery tray.

I'm no mechanic but I loved the look of the bus, stood on a nice hight on coil overs and on Porsche Fuchs reps with Porsche brakes, I could see it had been loved and went with my heart and we bought it. There are receipts for the lowering work and brake upgrades too.

This is a well used vehicle and being original paint has all of that priceless (can't be faked) patina, fading in places, knocks, dents and battle scars to keep you looking and loving.

Inside there is a custom interior from a conversion I haven't come across but it's well made, sink inbuilt, wardrobes, rock n roll bed, buddy seat an matching freestanding cooker.

The most unique feature and I've never seen another is that whilst this is a walk through model, it has a 3 up front single drivers seat and double bench seat and therefore has a removable brace to allow the bench seat... It looks like a factory option but may be an aftermarket conversion but it's surely very rare indeed. It just needs uk registration but most classic insurances will let you insure it on the chassis number whilst you fill in the form.. I just haven't managed to get round to this due to knowing I wasn't going to be driving it..and it would have been far too tempting.

So regrettable although this bus has been recommissioned, I have an issue in my shoulder and have been told I need to stop aggregating it by steering a big old bus... Until I get it sorted which means it isn't going to be used this season and therefore decided to sell.

I'm asking £14500 and you are welcome to come and view, I'm fairly flexible on times. There are a few little jobs to finish, parts included but may be done before you view or may reduce price if you're quick..couple of Seals, quarter-light catch.. That sort of thing!

I will post pictures as soon as I can but p/m me your email address and I will send pics

Thanks
Rob

I will add more pics to this photobucket album as soon as I can:
