As of today , we are the new proud owners of this '89 Westfalia , it will be my wife's daily , we been wanting one for a while but finally got one that was within the budget.
Bought it at an insurance auction with a burnt engine so it is a project , but the interior is intact.
We'll get a new engine , replacement rear door (fireman put a nick on it to open it) a bit of paint on the damage areas , new tires and ready to go.
Here are some pictures , it's in Los Angeles so I don't see it until I come back from Vanfest.

Aside from my sleeping Hardtop 70 Westy that I'm collecting parts for. Here's what else I can be spotted driving. I'm not sure what it is but I always seem to end up with L87 pearl white VW's.

OG paint 65 notch with a few subtle accesories.

Notch's fraternal twin 65 beetle, same paint colour, same interior colour. Painted over 27 years ago!

......and soon to come original paint 70 deluxe bay, Delta green for a change.

That Notch looks SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET on the slots!! Nice look!

I bought Ingrid from him a little over a year ago. I didn't recall him saying she had a name though. I haven't come up with one so I'm glad I found his post. Her name will live on.
