...He does it to me too but he also likes waving at people at lights etc to pretend he knows them and occasionally mouthing "call me" whilst making a phone symbol with his hand to his ear.

Hee, hee I may have to go and wave at people just for fun!

I do this too and it drives my wife crazy!...

I wave frantically at someone at the side of the road...
They wave back - often with a puzzled look on their face...
My wife says 'Who was that?'...
I say 'No idea!'...
I PMSL...
She calls me a moron/********/idiot...

I always do the no worries sign to campers and occassionally to beetles.

This is when i'm a passenger in the wife's Audi A2.

We get some funny looks but most smile back, I guess they presume that the A2 is the daily driver.

We have hawaiin flowers on the rearview mirror and camper stickers on the rear windows so it hopefully half explains it.

I also did the no worries sign out the window of my roadster to an early bay in the summer and got the sign back.

Hey CH, My Wife has an Audi A2 also I have also tried the usual wave when being a passenger only to get strange looks...!

The most responses I ever had was on the way to Vanfest recently, we got there late and there was a lot of people leaving coming the other way...the kids loved it!! I got fed up of waving after a bit as I was trying to concentrate on driving the LHD Westy for the second time! :lol:

Hey CH, just realised...so you have a Smart, an A2, and a Bay....blimey you are a mirror image of us here in Tamworth! :lol:

I wave or flash the lights when i'm driving the bay to other bays, splitty's and beetles.
New Beetles and T25 will get a wave back but i gave up trying as too many didn't seem to know what the hell i was doing. It would seem there are a lot of T25 high tops owned by retired couples who are not in the scene!

I feel really bad on motorways when it's too late to wave back.

In the work car i don't wave as it's a seat leon, although i might get a rear window sticker like 'My other rides aircooled' or something.
