the bus is almost ready, here are some pics, i only have to lower the rear a cm or 2.
I mounted a complete t2d splitbus beam inclusive the dropped spindles, and schocks. I C-notched the chassis at the front and rear. THe bus is now realy low and drives very good.

pics ofmy 1967 panel .any older UK spec panels out there?start a thread :!:

I don't know! What's your M plate date & number?
Mine's 23/8 Chassis No. EN 2140 383836 8010436.
This is the only other 'F' reg UK panel I've ever seen, and coincidentally the original colour (paint & Trim)was identical to yours, (velvet green & beige)

I have an october 67 panel soon to be on the road in the next few months - not as rough as it looks ;)

taken some years ago, been stored away now for a number of years, but will back on the road again spring 2010. stock 16 with with a pair of t3 solex's and a t25 distributor. home made dog-leg spring plates on the back. home made dropped spindles up front hanging on modified trailing arms to correct b.joint travel. tubbed fronts to clear rides like stock. plans for the future upright t4 and a narrow k.l front end to solve some clearence issues. and probably end up getting painted too. if i don't sell it?

My fireengine!
71mod, disk breaks, and now: Antrasit GasBurners!

Just clocked 30k kilometers!! =)

Thanks man, love your ride aswell!

I used a cheap DA machine. Double Action machines are the best for paint renowaiting.
First up: wash the car good, use a strong degreaser!

Then I used: Meguiars Clay, thats a real important part of my paintrenowaiting process!

3: Meguiars Ultimate Compound, I used this product twice on the whole car.

4: Meguiars Step2 (pollish).

5: Meguiars Tec Wax 2.0.
And what a bright result!

There are some rust-spots and scars - It's a part of the cars history i think.

Thanks for all that info. I'll give it a try and see what comes out.

Mine is a respray so it won't have the depth or patina of yours. I got mine painted 7 years ago now so it is starting to get a bit sunburnt and chalky in places.

If I had my time again i wouldn't repaint the whole bus, Original paint is only there once so unless it is totally ruined it's worth keeping. Yours looks fantastic and any marks are just signs of the rich life it has had.
Here are some new pics of mine I took on a trip from Melbourne to Adelaide a few weeks ago. I gave it a bit of a polish before the trip, but it's the old "Looks good from 10 metres" effect!

Love your van Prizma 8)

And Lobus, I never tire of looking at your pics. The locations are awsome.

Thanks for the nice words Wibbler, I'm a bit of a road trip tragic, and it's fun to share some of the scenery. I have to admit though there were some good shots just waiting to be snapped on the last trip. The one of my mate's square in the rain was a tricky thing to take. I used my rear view mirror to look into the screen of my camera, all the while driving down a big hill (about 20km) in the biggest windstorm and heavy rain I've ever encountered. So I'm glad you appreciate the effort!
The bus came up OK after a good clean and a bit of polish too.
