passenger door lock

1st time out and passenger door can't be opened from inside. It's a 72 crossover with the door lock lever next to the door pull. Door opens perfectly from outside and locks from inside or outside with no problems. Any ideas?

Remove the door card and make sure the rod is still attached as it should,if it is and there's no sign of anything out of place pull the door lock mechanism out and clean it and lubricate it with some graphite powder.if that doesn't work id say it's a new mechanism u need.if you can get a cheap mechanism before you start it might be best to just change it while you have the door apart anyway.

Rods still there and internal lock works so guess it's the mech cheers
