What do most people do with perished seals on patina vans? I realise they look good when a bit nackered but how badly do they take on water and will it ruin the look of the van by adding new ones?

Also where is the best place to get some as I cant seem to find any that accept the deluxe trim?

Here is the van in question, thanks.

Definitely replace all the seals if it's going to get wet :)

C&C do the Deluxe seals - I helped a friend fit a few and they fitted fine. I'm sure other suppliers sell them too. :)

Replace , My brother in law has a super patina bus and has had all seals changed , looks great

And dry too

To remove as said above CUT the window rubbers out with a stanley blade, means the trim and glass stay safe and in tact.

As for tips to fit, there are lots of threads in readers rides with good pics and how too's

Hope that helps

Cheers

I'm about to change all my deluxe seals this weekend. I got the full set of deluxe rubbers and trim for just kampers but the side window ones are all full size and not 3/4 so I'm gonna have to cut and mitre them.

Deffo change them man if there perished

That settles that then

Any tips for removing/refitting the glass and trim?

If your window seals are in pretty bad condition then once you remove them you might also find that small parts of the metal lip the seal fits into has rust spots on it.

So might be worth having some rust remover/repair and primer on standby.
