Well I bought Perry (formerly known as Vera but my daughter did not like it!), back in September. He is a 1971 early bay that is a panel van converted at some point. He has many horrible points but some fantastic ones and i am aiming to restore him back to a family car and my daily commute to work. Here are some photos as so many of you are helping with advice and moral support when I feel I took on too much!

This is Perry at the previous owners

http://s1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa440/faragher/?action=view&current=013.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So please tell me what you think and I will get to writing the rest as I have to take a bit of time off her

So I opened the engine lid to look at the engine and this happened!

http://s1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa440/faragher/?action=view&current=IMG_0252.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So I had to get a new engine lid as it was just filler and paint with a slight evidence of metal!

So I now have this

http://s1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa440/faragher/?action=view&current=IMG_0255.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So then I removed 6 bolts and this fell out!

http://s1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa440/faragher/?action=view&current=IMG_0263.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It was running very nicely I was surprised but I am a fussy person and I just had to strip her down, so a new clutch and a few parts her and there, a lot of cleaning and wearing my Haynes manual out I have produced this! Just need to run her and tune her up now.

Oh yeah and this appeared overnight on my table, the pixies were busy when I was working nightshift and left me this!!

http://s1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa440/faragher/?action=view&current=IMG_0315.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So I then spent a weekend stripping all the interior, electrics. Gearbox and drive shafts off leaving as little as possible. I then met a very nice guy who I owe big time who loaned me a roll over jig so i removed the wheels on one side and put it on

http://s1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa440/faragher/?action=view&current=IMG_0305.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Then I found 3 willing volunteers and we had a bowl of weetabix and this happened!

http://s1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa440/faragher/?action=view&current=IMG_0330.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://s1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa440/faragher/?action=view&current=IMG_0329.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Then it was just bad news from there as I found lots of fresh air where there used to be metal
